Month and year of birth given as March 1821 in 1900 U.S. Census for Delaware, Kent County, South Murderkill Hundred, Vol. 1, E.D. 80, Sheet 10B, Line 55. State of birth given as Delaware. Enumerated as Mariah Sipple, with husband Uriah Sipple. Record states that she was the mother of 13 children, 11 of whom were still living in 1900.
Full date of 14 March 1821 given in tombstone inscription recorded in "Souls in Heaven, Names in Stone: Kent County, Delaware Cemetery Records," by Raymond Walter Dill, William Martin Dill, and Elizabeth Ann Bostick Dill, Gateway Press, Baltimore, 1989, page 548.
