- Year of birth would be 1820-1821, according to age (29 years) in 1850 U.S. Census for Delaware, Kent County, page 259, line 27. Enumerated as "Ezekiel Clark," born in Delaware, with wife "Prudy," establishing link to this particular Ezekiel Clark.
- Apparent 1870 Census Record is in 1870 U.S. Census for Delaware, Kent County, page 181A, line 7. Enumerated as Ezekel Clark, born in Delaware, with wife "Crudy" and two sons. The problem is that while his wife's age is given as 54 (consistent with her age in the 1880 Census), his age is given as 30, and his oldest son's age is given as 20. Clearly, the figure of 30 years is an error in transcription from whatever the census taker was using for notes.
- Year of birth would be 1820-1821, according to age (59 years) in 1880 U.S. Census for Delaware, Kent County, page 320B, line 38. Enumerated as "Ezekil Clark," born in Delaware, with wife "Prudy" and Lyda Gearrel, age 10, relationship not given.
