TRAVEL:
- On 11 April 1922, Charles Barcant arrived in New York for a one month stay and the passenger manifest gave his destination address there as "c/o Rueff Brothers, 76 - 5th Avenue, NYCity." The Rueff Brothers were listed in a roughly contemporaneous document of the U.S. Patent Office ["Annual Report of the Commissioner of Patents for the Year 1918," (Washington, D.C., 1919), pp. 653-654] as registering trademarks for "watches and clocks" and "named jewelry and precious metal ware," so it appears that Charles was traveling on his family's business.
- While in New York, Charles was interviewed by Roger Batchelder of the "Evening World" newspaper, who wrote a column about visitors to New York called "New Yorkers for a Day or Two." Charles' comment on Trinidad's cocoa industry were published in this column on Friday, 2 June 1922, page 8S.

Buried in Barcant family plot, Lapeyrouse Cemetery, Block #12, Grave Space #91-96, west side of 12th Street in Cemetery. He is buried in grave space #92, according to records in the cemetery office, but there is no tombstone.
