    • BIRTH:
      Identified as the son of Frank Hughmore McKenna and Mary Dolan in family history compiled by Patrick Teague and shared as an informal communication to Robert Simon on 29 September 2011.
      Full date of 11 May 1880 given in Ireland Births and Baptisms, 1620-1881, online at www. familysearch.org. Location of birth given as Cooel, County Tyrone, Ireland. Listed as Patrick Joseph McCanny, with parents named as Francis McCanny and Mary McCanny Dolin. Extracted from Irish Civil Registration birth records, April-June 1880, Vol. 2-1, page 25 (LDS FHL Microfilm no. 256051). The marriage record of Francis McCanny and Mary Dolan stated that Francis McCanny was from "Cool," doubtless a rendering of Cooel. A copy of the abstract of this record, from rootsireland.ie, is in the possession of Robert M. Simon.
      Consistent with age (21 years) in Irish Civil Registration death record for Patrick Jospeh McCanney (see below).

Simon from Fr. Kevin Mullan of the parish on 15 March 2012. Parents named as Francis McCanny and Mary Dolan.       MARRIAGE: Never married and died a bachelor, according to death record.

      DEATH:
      Full date and location given in Irish Civil Registration death record for Patrick Joseph McCanney, available in irishgenealogy.ie. Cause of death was phthisis. Informant was Francis McCanney of Coolavannagh, identified as his father.
