      Full date of 5 February 1895 given in the birth record for Hugh McCanney in the parish birth register for St. Patrick RC Church in Drumquin, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, abstracted in a personal communication to Robert M. Simon from Fr. Kevin Mullan of the parish on 15 March 2012. Parents named as Francis McCanney and Mary Dolan.
      Full date given as 2 February 1895 in Irish Civil Registration birth record for Hugh McCanney on www.rootsireland.ie. Place of birth given as Coolavannagh, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. Parents named as Francis McCanney and Mary Dolan.
      Roughly consistent with age (6 years) in 1900 Irish Civil Registration death record.

      According to family history compiled by Patrick Teague and shared as an informal communication to Robert Simon on 29 September 2011, died at 4 or 5 years old.
      A death prior to 1901 is supported by the absence of Hugh from the family listing in the 1901 Census of Ireland.
