Parents named as Francis McCanney and Mary Dolin. Full date of 6 February 1887 given in the birth record for William John McCanney in the parish birth register for St. Patrick RC Church in Drumquin, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland, abstracted in a personal communication to Robert M. Simon from Fr. Kevin Mullan of the parish on 15 March 2012. Parents named as Francis McCanney and Mary Dolan. Roughly consistent with age (23 years) given in 1911 cemetery record of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as conveyed orally by a staff member on the cemetery office to Robert M. Month and year of death would be March 1911, according to cemetery records of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Date of burial for a John McKenna, in the same gravesite as his sister, Catherine McKenna, given as 23 March 1911. Full date given as 18 March 1911 in Philadelphia Death Certificate No. 7138 (1911), online in "Pennsylvania, Philadelphia Death Certificates, 1803-1915" on www.familysearch.org. Named as John McKenna, born in Ireland. Linked to this individual on the basis of the date of burial in Holy Sepulchre Semetery (23 March 1911), which is the same as in the cemetery's records. Other information in the certificate is off, and the certificate had two or three distinct types of handwriting on it, indicating that it was not filled out by a single source of information. The official informant is the medical doctor at Philadelphia Hospital, who attended John at the time of his death. Died of acute endocarditis, with hypertrophy of the heart given as a contributing factor.
